Hi,
How disappointing to you that your bike trip was cut off by a bug! I'm sure you will stew about it for a long time, even though getting as far as the Great Basin was in itself a real accomplishment. I envy anybody that would be in good enough physical shape to haul bikes and trailers across Kansas, over Monarch Pass and across the Utah deserts in the middle of summer. Take care of yourselves and remember to send me an address so that I can send you another polished souvenir from Grand Junction and Utah.
